The Consorci Borsa d’Allotjaments Turístics (CBAT) has scheduled for this September the procedure for the acquisition of 654 tourist places for holiday rentals (ETV).
This is a particularly relevant milestone, since in recent years the possibility of obtaining new places has been restricted by a moratorium on ETVs. This moratorium was established by Decree Law 3/2022, which suspended the granting of new licences for a period of four years, in order to allow time for territorial planning and for setting the islands’ tourism carrying capacity.
As stated in the Agreement of the Governing Board of the CBAT of 20 August 2025, these places form part of the temporary pool created by Decree Law 4/2025, which integrates the excesses of exchanges, voluntary or compulsory cancellations, as well as places derived from changes of use.
Initially, the deadline for submitting applications was scheduled to start on 1 September; however, due to technical problems with identification through CL@VE, it has been confirmed that applications may be submitted from 2 September 2025. Please note that, according to official sources, the allocation of places will be carried out in strict order of submission of applications, and it is especially important that applications include all required documentation to be considered validly submitted.
